Timing Is Everything

Timing is everything.

A car without timing won’t run.
A comedy without timing isn’t funny.
A conversation without timing can cause misunderstanding.
A farmer with no timing never harvests.
A joke without timing has no punch line.
A jump rope without timing is no fun.
A leader without timing is ineffective.
A loving reprimand without timing feels like criticism.
A red light without timing causes traffic jams.
A runner with no timing misses the start of the race.
A singer without timing demolishes the song.
A word without timing has no life.
An athlete without timing can’t compete.
An email without timing can cause pain.
An orchestra without timing is hard to listen to.

Times can be hard. Times can be easy.
When the fullness of time was completed a Savior came.
The right word at the right time is life.
The right word at the wrong time is pain.
Once upon a time…I hurt a good friend by poor timing of my words.

Proverbs 25:11-12 “The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewelry, and a wise friend’s timely reprimand is like a gold ring slipped on your finger.”

Timing is everything.

  1. I like timing when it is clicking along, but not so much when in the waiting period. I do recognize that trying to artificially augment the timing is probably unwise. Awesome word.

  2. Time goes by quickly and it is a precious thing but I have done God wrong by letting my misery get the better of me. The suffering I had endured in the past has cause me regret and contempt for those who I suspect have done this for their sake but, I only want to obey God's instructions, however it is difficult too.
